An explosion rocked Lezha in the early hours of this Wednesday morning. A quantity of explosive material was placed at the notary office of notary Fran Gjoni, located in the city center near "Gjergj Kastrioti" square.

The explosion caused minor material damage, while security camera footage showed two people who placed the explosives and fled.

The police have launched an investigation, while the two perpetrators were unmasked and work is underway to identify them.

Fran Gjoni has stated that he has no conflicts or problems with anyone.

Fran Gjoni is the brother of former judge Gjin Gjoni, who has been involved in politics for a year as the chairman of the Democratic Party in Lezha and a candidate for the primary to be a member of parliament.

Gjin Gjoni resigned as judge to escape the vetting process.
