The Durrës Court ordered the release of many of those arrested for distributing narcotics near schools in Kavaja.

After a long court session, held without the presence of the media, Judge Suela Xhani released 8 of the 13 arrested, with 7 of them being ordered to "compulsory appearance" and banned from leaving the country, while another was only ordered to "compulsory appearance".

Another detainee was placed under "house arrest", while 4 others, namely citizens Arben Xhihani, Kujtim Veizi, Serxho Abazi and Renaldo Gjondeda, were given the restrictive measure of "prison arrest". The 13 people were detained during the police operation "Winter", which aimed to crack down on drug dealers near schools in Kavaja.

The operation, conducted on Sunday, was considered by the police as one of the largest operations in this city.
