Over the course of a week, the Traffic Police of Tirana imposed 9,207 fines on drivers who violated traffic rules.

It is mainly about violations such as speeding over the allowed rates, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt.

While the highest number of fines was imposed for wrong posture, 5,247 fines. Meanwhile, we have 17 arrests and criminal proceedings and 13 driving license suspensions for driving under the influence of alcohol.

17 Arrests and criminal proceedings

6 people for driving under the influence of alcohol.

6 people for driving without a license.

2 people for violating traffic rules.

1 person for "Disobedience to the order of the public order employee"

2 people were prosecuted for active corruption.

9,207 administrative measures imposed, an average of 1,315 per day.

129 measures for black glasses.

759 measures for speeding over the permitted rates.

471 measures for mobile phone use while driving.

702 measures for not wearing a seat belt.

7 measures for disobeying the "Stop" signal.

571 measures for not giving priority to citizens.

5.247 measures for wrong posture.

828 measures for non-use of the protective helmet/phosphorescent vest, Article 169.

13 cases of suspension for driving under the influence of alcohol.

46 cases of speeding.

27 different cases 

7 vehicles were blocked, including 2 with foreign license plates.
