The police of Shkodra have launched investigations into the installation of surveillance cameras in the city of Shkodra, which were used to monitor the movements of citizens and law enforcement.

Sources for Ora News from the investigation group said that since Saturday and until today, several people have been accompanied who have given their testimonies to the police regarding the existence of these cameras and their owners.

All the people questioned have denied having anything to do with the placement of the surveillance tools and even less with the people who have this high resolution camera.

From the police data, there are doubts that the cameras were installed by criminal groups, but until this stage, the police still do not have a name. To find out their owners are through IT experts and unit C is trying to trace the IP of these cameras in order to discover the DVRs.

Of the 21 cameras seized so far, 8 were installed in public places and squares, on the road axis from the "5 Heroes of VIGUT" roundabout to the first roundabout of the Shkodra bypass.

Another 13 were installed on the road axis from the "5 Heroes" roundabout to the Dobraci roundabout.

The sources inform me that the action will continue these days with the landing of the police in the area of ​​the Castle of Shkodra, where it is suspected that there is another person with a criminal record involved in several events.

Several security cameras have been identified from that location, which have been confirmed to be unauthorized and which can be used for illegal activities. Despite the fact that the network of cameras existed for more than two years in the city, only in the last week the police took the courage to remove them.
