Former senior police chief, Shemsi Prençi, spoke about the "disappearance" of Ervis Martinaj. During an interview in Fax News, Prençi said that in his beginnings, Ervis Martinaj was not an incriminated person, but a man with school and education in the field of economics. According to him, everything changed with his involvement in the field of gambling and it implicated him in serious acts.
He said that the former businessman is alive, while he emphasized that he believes that Martinaj himself will come out one day and tell the politicians that he has bought the justice system because the corrupt justice system in Albania gave him this opportunity.
"I have said the things about Ervis Martinaj. I have expressed with complete conviction that Vis Martinaj, after finishing school, was not an incriminated person. But educated like all other Albanians, at the level of business management. The fact that not only rumors, but also documents speak that such a business has paid taxes, paid policemen, and he has been successful in this. Then he was given an unfair fight for the economy he had decided, and he was immersed in incrimination. I am convinced that he is alive", declared Shemsi Prençi.
