Police in the French city of Annecy have arrested four Albanian citizens, aged between 18 and 53, suspected of involvement in heroin trafficking.

The investigation began after a tip-off about a drug distribution point in the Côte Perrière neighborhood. After a period of surveillance, police identified one of the traffickers and tracked him to his apartment. He was then arrested during a drug transaction in the Passage de l'Isle area.

During the operation, a user was also arrested, who had purchased two doses of heroin for 70 euros. The police continued to monitor the trafficker's apartment and found two other people leaving; both were stopped and arrested.

During the search of the apartment, investigators seized packaging materials, about 1.5 kilograms of heroin in the form of blocks and bags ready for sale, as well as 7,600 euros in cash.

The four arrested have requested a postponement of the hearing to prepare for their defense, while the prosecution has requested pre-trial detention.
