Rama's farewell video card for Fatos Nano: My friend found again

Prime Minister Edi Rama has distributed a farewell video card for the late former leader of the Socialist Party, Fatos Nano, who passed away a day ago.

The head of government says that Nano will forever remain in his memories and that he has a place of honor in the history of the socialist family.

"And with this farewell video card for the historic leader of the Socialists, my former and rediscovered friend, Fatos Nano, who passed away after a grueling battle with illness, but who will never be separated from our memories and from the place of honor in the history of our great family, I convey my brotherly condolences to all those who had him as leader, friend and comrade," Rama writes.

We remind you that the tributes and funeral ceremony in honor of Fatos Nano will take place on Sunday, November 2, which has been declared a day of national mourning by the government.

Nano retired from politics in 2009 and served as prime minister from 1991, 1997-1998, and 2002-2005. He was the founder of the Socialist Party and its first leader.
