Fight at "Fan Noli" school, shocks journalist: One of the students

Renowned journalist Klodiana Lala revealed this evening that one of the students at the "Fan Noli" school, who was at the scene of the fight that took the life of 14-year-old Martin Cani, attempted to end his life.

Invited to the show "Opinion", Lala said that great care should be taken regarding such events involving children, because hasty statements or the mention of minors in the media can cause great psychological harm to them.

"One of the children attempted to commit suicide after this incident," the journalist said. Klodiana Lala also called on the authorities to uncover the truth. 

"The authorities must come to the truth, that there was unacceptable language in the press statements. The way the police reacted added fuel to the fire."

We recall that the serious incident was recorded shortly after noon on November 18, near the "Fan Noli" school in Tirana.

14-year-old Mario Përlleshaj stabbed his peer, Martin Cani, in the heart, who unfortunately died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

Meanwhile, his friend, Luis Meçja, was also injured in this incident.

The latter stayed for almost 11 days at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana and then headed to Italy for more specialized help.
