ROOF collapses, ALBANIAN worker in Malta loses his LIFE!

An Albanian worker lost his life in Malta, while working on the reconstruction of the roof of the apartment.

The collapsed roof trapped the Albanian, who could not survive, while another Albanian worker was injured.

The serious event happened this morning, April 20, in Sliema. As local media reports, the roof collapsed, trapping two Albanians.

The 31-year-old worker, who managed to escape, got out of the rubble by himself. The victim is 51 years old and the two Albanians lived in the town of Zebbug.

The two Albanian workers were carrying out work on a house on St Ignatius Street in Sliema when neighbors heard a loud noise shortly before 10am.

A woman who lives near the scene told reporters she rushed outside to see a large plume of dust and a man coming out of the building looking for an ambulance after his colleague was trapped inside.

The Construction Authority has announced that the owner of the apartment had not yet received the construction permit, although the two Albanians had started with the reconstruction.
