Half a kilo of florins were caught while trying to cross from Albania to Kosovo. The gold was put in a bag and wrapped in a paper. It was the Customs Officers at the Vërmica border crossing who checked a bus and found the amount of gold ornaments. The gold was seized and the bus driver was arrested.

"During the routine checks, the customs officers have selected a bus of the Kosovo-Albania line for a detailed check, during the check the customs officers have found gold jewelry in the amount of more than 500 grams. The amount was in a paper bag and was found on the bus driver. The quantity has been confiscated and the case has been continued for customs offense and for further investigations," said the announcement of the Customs.
