20 tons of cucumber seized from THE AKU

The National Food Authority has blocked an amount of 20 tonnes of cucumber product, which has resulted in excess of the permitted rate of pesticide content.

Referring to the notification coming from the importing country, the Food Authority shall notify that it has carried out the verifications in application of the legislation in force in the exporting entity of this product, where the immediate blocking of this quantity was made.

The subject is left with the task of taking measures to destroy it.

"AKU is cooperating with other law-enforcing institutions AREB and ARSHVMB, where based on the tracking system administered in the exporting entity, to continue monitoring the subjects/farmers, on the use of pesticides and respecting the carnage of the use of the product" AKU announces.
