The mother of Leo Sadiku, the 12-year-old who passed away at the Korça Hospital on January 8, has broken her silence and spoken for the first time to News24, sharing with the public the entire ordeal her son went through at the Korça Hospital and the Korça Hospital.
She accuses the doctors who treated her son of negligence, attributing to this the consequences that led to her son's death.
In a very difficult emotional state, Roveta Sadiku says that they sent their son to Korça Hospital for the first time on December 28, where after receiving treatment, the doctors sent him home.
On December 29, after the boy's condition did not improve, they went back to the hospital, where after several visits, the boy was admitted. According to the mother, Leo had constant abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting.
Roveta recounts the last moments of Leo's life, who, according to her, passed away in the hands of his uncle.
" Leo had an unprecedented burn on his body and wanted to be discovered. He was burning, he said he had a fever. We told the doctor but she didn't do anything. I saw the boy had cold hands and the girl went to a bar to get warm water to put on his feet and hands. At one point Leo got up scared. I said what's wrong, son of a mother? He said nothing, don't be afraid, I have nothing. Don't cry, there's nothing, the boy told me. He asked me to lie down behind him. I said it's a shame, mother, there are people. Mother, please lie down behind me, let me kiss you, kiss me, hold me tight, the boy told me. I lay down behind the boy and was caressing him, I didn't know that I was fulfilling his last wishes. It didn't last long. He took a bad breath. I called out to Leo, son, what's wrong? He said I can't breathe. I called directly, the doctor didn't come, but a nurse came with an oxygen meter in her hand. She put it on his hand and the meter didn't work in Leo's hand. Leo had a seizure, his eyes popped out. At that moment we screamed like crazy. A gentleman came from another room, they forcibly took me and my brother out. When my brother saw me screaming, he forced himself in. Another gentleman took the oxygen tank, put it there and just called out to him, "Leo, hug your uncle, Leo, think about your mom. We begged him to be strong, but they had destroyed Leon, they neglected me ," she confessed.
