The new GJKKO regulation censors the media, Judge Saida Dollani: The appeal will
The building of the Court of Appeals and the Court of Appeals

Unlike the Special Court of First Instance, which has implemented new regulations censoring the media since September 1, the GJKKO Appeal has not joined these restrictions, even though both courts are located in the same building. This Wednesday, journalists were allowed to enter the Appeal premises with mobile phones, which will also be allowed during court sessions.

It was the judge of the Special Appeal, Saida Dollani, who guaranteed journalists today that the transparency rules will not change and that the regulation drafted by the GJKKO will not be implemented by the Appeal.

"Our transparency rules do not change. If they prevent you from staying in our lobby, please let us know," Saida Dollani told reporters.

Journalists' associations have strongly opposed the new GJKKO regulation, which imposes strong restrictions on the media, including a ban on the use of phones, recorders inside the courtroom, and cameras.

The new regulation is also under the 'magnifying glass' of the OSCE, which says it is following the issue closely. In a response to Report TV journalist Raziela Myslimaj, the OSCE presence in Albania says it is in communication with the Special Court and is also consulting with other interested parties.
