The bones found on April 3 of this year in Fushë-Kuqe i Kurbinit have been identified. As it was suspected, the remains belong to Mariglen Gjonaj, who has been missing since 2015.
History
The 10th grade student at Mamurras Gymnasium had gone to school like every other day on May 18th. But he had not returned to his usual schedule or dinner, which alarmed his family. They report it to the police a few weeks later, but although the latter started the investigation, there is still no trace of Mariglen Gjonaj.
The day the teenager left the apartment for school he had not even taken his phone with him. His mother, Luljana Gjonaj appeals to the state to help her find her son. "The boy woke up in the morning and told me that his school was active that day.
He also took his brother's car and got out. He told me I would come very soon. It was May 18th when he left and did not return. We searched all night, asking our people about him, but with none he had had no contact and had not seen him. "The next day we immediately notified the police and we also made the denunciation for the loss of the boy", said at that time to the media the mother of the 16-year-old.
According to her, at first the police were set in motion, but they could not follow in her son's footsteps and then day by day this issue was being forgotten by them.
" When the boy left, he had jewelry and a very expensive Rolex watch, which were worth 10 million old lek. I suspect my son was abducted to get the jewelry. "We went to the police several times, but I lost faith in Kurbin's blues, as the boy has been missing for two months and we do not know if he is alive or dead ," she said.
