Businessman  Bashkim Ulaj  has returned the fadromas to build the luxury resort " Blue Borgo " on the border with the Baks-Rrjoll village area in Velipojë.

This project has been facing opposition from local residents for a year, who accuse the publisher, close to the Berisha family, of seizing their property.

Several protests were organized a year ago by residents, while today the developers have begun work on the construction of the road leading to the 5-star resort, which is planned to be built in the pearl of the Adriatic, near Rana e Hedhun.

According to residents, the works began at night and that the builder Ulaj is robbing them of their properties, which they say they have had since the time of Zog and are still in court.

"We have not received any information, when you start a project like Bashkim Ulaj, a sign is put up and that the land will be taken. They robbed it, this is a stolen distance. We have not known anything. The Mayor does not approach us. We will gather by any means and here we will cause bloodshed, the road will be blocked if they do not give us an answer", said a resident Zef Shullani.

" The works have started at night, without the knowledge of the villagers. These are spontaneous people who happened to be here, the heirs of the property will also come from abroad. They intend to continue the road here, to get to the property. This road that passes here belongs to the villagers, today we are for the road and the property. Balluku has no right to give a building permit, when we have made it public and even more so since we are in court to gain our property as the old owner. We will block the Shëngjin-Velipoja road, there will be physical clashes. Our freedom is property, this freedom that we had, they want to take this away from us. These people come at night, they sign at night, we only sign when we see the signs ," said another resident.

If the works are not stopped, residents emphasize that they will block the Shëngjin-Velipoja road .

"The land is ours, what does he want? Any chaos, any war? We go to the state, there is no state. The poor complain, the poor are trampled on. We have to do it in our own house, even in the legislation. The land is ours, we love our country. He will take it away. We have had it since the time of Zog. We will talk to each other and we will act," said resident Gëzim Pjeshka.

The construction of this resort has also been brought to the attention of SPAK by the residents. Last year, they filed a complaint, through which they claim that Bashkim Ulaj, in collaboration with the leader of the PL in Malësia e Madhe, Fatmir Shpallzaj, have robbed them of their properties.

They accuse the publisher and businessman close to Berisha of taking their properties using his power and authority and demand the cessation of the works.
