Heavy rains, alarming situation in Tropoja, the mayor: The situation is heading

 The first problems from the rainfall in the country are reported.

The head of the municipality of Tropoja, Rexh Byberaj, has reacted regarding the rainfall situation in this municipality.

Byberaj gives the alarm that the waters, in addition to damage to the roads and sewers, also threaten to flood the houses in Bytyq. He has warned of worsening of the situation which is bringing natural disaster.

The mayor has called on institutions and residents to react in time.

Extreme emergency situation in Tropoje. The continuous rain for two days, accompanied by storms and torrential rains, is causing great damage in Tropoje. I have been together with my staff since midnight in the Bytyc Administrative Unit where we are monitoring the situation. Not only the roads and sewers are overflowing, but the citizens' homes are in danger due to major erosion and collapses. The most alarming situation is in the village of Vlad, but in almost the entire territory of the Municipality, the escalation is heading towards a natural catastrophe. I urgently appeal not only to the responsible state institutions but also to every resident of Tropoje for increased care and solidarity.

The greatest care must be taken in overflowing reservoirs, which are dangerous in cases like this. We are and will be close to the citizens wherever they are in difficulty with our tools and human resources to cope with this difficult and unexpected situation.
