The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana requested today that Prince Leka Zogu be sentenced to one year and 6 months in prison for the criminal offense of "Domestic Violence", for the incident that took place in the Royal Court months ago. According to the prosecuting authority, this sentence should be converted into probation.

In addition, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, in the claim given, also requests a 6-month prison sentence for Leka's ex-wife, actress Elia Zaharia, as well as a year for her ex-father-in-law Gjergj Zaharia. As with Prince, the prosecution is seeking probation for Elia and her father.

After the decision, Elia reacted to Euronews Albania, but chose not to comment on this decision.

"I'm fine! Today I was present after the opening of the Book Fair and I will be there for 3 days in a row in daily pursuit.

Asked again about today's decision by the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, Elia Zaharia said that the case is still under trial.

"I'm sorry, but I have no comment! The case is under trial and I respect the process in silence", concluded Elia Zaharia.
