After the media reported the debate that took place in the court session a week ago, where Prosecutor Olsi Dado severely insulted Erion Veliaj with the word "filth" in the eyes of Judge Erjon Bani, lawyer Ylli Manjani also reacted.
Manjani, who was also Minister of Justice, asks SPAK head Altin Dumani to remove Olsi Dado from the Veliaj case and immediately initiate disciplinary proceedings.
" I completely agree with those ethicists who disagree with Erion Velia's language in his Facebook reactions.
That's right, it's not good to curse and insult, especially from the position of a person under investigation. Cursing and insulting doesn't give you any advantage, obviously."
But on the other hand, look a little more closely at the other side of the coin. Is the prosecutor in the case ethically correct?!
Serious allegations have been made against him that he sought favors from the Municipality of Tirana for a building permit.
There are allegations that he was intimidated by the Veliaj family.
And now, finally, it turns out that in court the prosecutor insulted the other party by calling them "filth." In the courtroom....the prosecutor.... Do you understand, or not?!
What more needs to happen for a person to react, regardless of the procedural position they find themselves in?!
If the statement that the one who insults is weak in arguments holds true, I believe this also applies to the prosecutor, right?!

If I were Altin Dumani, I would have removed that prosecutor from the case.
Perhaps he deserves more than just being removed from the case. Even a disciplinary proceeding would legally clarify all these aspects.
"This is not normal !", says Manjani.
