President Trump 's administration has gone from public denunciations of the misuse of USAID funds in Balkan countries to sending a group of prosecutors to investigate projects that have been implemented so far with American taxpayer funds.

At the head of this group of prosecutors is former federal prosecutor Martin De Luca .

He launched an investigation from Sarajevo, which resulted in the fact that in the last four years alone, around 402 million dollars have been spent on USAID projects with NGOs established by the Soros Foundation , of which 250 million cannot be determined where they have disappeared.

"In the last four years, $402 million has been disbursed here through various programs. Of these, $150 million can be justified, and about $250 million remains unjustified, which raises suspicions of corruption. This is money from American citizens. My team is already investigating USAID operations in other countries in the region and beyond. President Trump is very determined that we discover as soon as possible everything that has happened with the misuse of these funds. We are aware that the most difficult part of our mission is obtaining evidence, so we are asking for the cooperation of the authorities in these countries," said Martin de Luca.

A day ago, the case of Albania was brought to the attention of the US Congress, where it was said that the Justice Reform and the persecution of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , were financed with American taxpayer funds .

The US Embassy officially announced a few weeks ago the cessation of USAID funding for our country.
