The Tirana police solved the murder of Eduart Reç, executed with a bullet near Elbasan Street.

Sources indicate that there are doubts that the author is either a policeman or a former policeman.

The businessman Eduard Reçi was killed around 23:00 on Wednesday (November 13, 2024), (initially seriously injured), under the building where he lives, which he built himself, on "General Nikols" street in Tirana, in front of the Faculty of History-Philology. 

The 52-year-old, originally from Dibra, received a single bullet that pierced his head and died in the Trauma hospital around 04:00 in the morning on November 14. At first it was remembered that they were fireworks, also according to the testimony of the victim's relatives, but a bullet from a distance, suspected to be from a sniper rifle, knocked the businessman to the ground.

Reçi had previously worked as a director at SHISH, as the crime was investigated on several tracks. 

The investigative team has seized security cameras of nearby businesses, mainly coffee bars, but due to the darkness so far it has been difficult to capture the image of the perpetrator or perpetrators.

But the footage has fixed Eduard Rec as he walks, and falls to the ground after a shot, the sound of which can also be heard on some security cameras that record sound.

His family members have been questioned, and they have denied knowing about Eduard Reçi's collisions or conflicts with other people. Years ago, sources say that Reçi was in charge of a directorate of SHISH in 1996, but the authorities have not yet been oriented towards murder because of this position that he held. After 2000, he was involved in business.

Sources say that Reçi with the firm "ELGM" has also built several other buildings in Tirana.
