Police officer Erjon Goxhara surrendered to the Tirana Police this Wednesday.

He was wanted since Monday, when he shot 45-year-old Lorenc Kosta with a firearm, in the "Paris Commune" area.

"Following the information given on 19.08.2024, about the event that happened near a market on "Tish Daija" street, today, around 5:00 p.m., he surrendered to the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, together with the weapon of the service with which he committed the criminal offense, citizen Erjon Goxhara, 46 years old", said the Tirana Police in a press release.

Goxhara shot Kosta with 6 bullets in the limbs, leaving him injured.

The reason for the incident was the sentimental relationship that the 45-year-old had with the police officer's wife.
