An employee of the Guard of the Republic was presented to the hospital today with a gunshot wound.

The Tirana police informs that the 28-year-old is suspected of having injured himself with the service weapon.

"On 24.05.2024, around 18:00, a citizen of FS, 28 years old, an employee of the Republic Guard, who is suspected of self-injuring himself with the service weapon, presented himself to receive medical help at SUT.

In relation to the case, AMP has been notified, and in cooperation with the investigative group, work is being done to clarify the circumstances of the event," the police informs.
