Car hits 22-year-old who died, elderly man arrested in Vlora

Vlora police have arrested an 80-year-old man who was involved in a serious accident in Vlora yesterday.

As a result of the collision between the car driven by the 80-year-old and the motorcycle driven by 22-year-old Fatjon Kasaj, the latter passed away.

"Specialists of the Traffic Police Sector, following the investigative actions for the accident that occurred yesterday, on the "Peshkëpi-Kotë" road axis, arrested citizen JK, 80 years old, resident of Vlora, after he was driving the vehicle that collided with the motorcycle driven by citizen FK, 22 years old, resident of Tirana, who lost his life," the police announced.

The accident occurred at around 2:47 p.m., near the Lapardha village bridge.

The elderly man is charged with the criminal offense of "Violation of traffic rules", resulting in death.
