A large rainstorm has flooded several areas in Slovenia, as forecasters predict that the weather will worsen in the coming across the region.

This morning, smaller rivers and torrential water flows increased significantly, and rainfall is flooding some areas, the Slovenian Environmental Protection Agency announced. The city of Koper reported that the situation on the ground is dangerous and is deteriorating.

The Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service has issued the highest red warning for the northern and central Adriatic due to storms expected on Friday afternoon and evening, with strong and gusty winds and torrential rains that could lead to torrential and urban flooding.

And as the storm is approaching Croatia, it is expected to affect Albania at the weekend, although it is difficult to say whether it will have the same high intensity by then.
