Several investigations have been launched after a Spanish tourist in Kenya posted a video of himself pouring beer into an elephant's snout.
He was filmed at a wildlife reserve drinking from a can of Tusker, a popular local beer, before giving the rest to an elephant, and the video has sparked outrage on social media.
" Just an elephant with a friend who holds elephants ," he wrote in the description of the video posted on Instagram, which was later deleted from his account after negative reactions from Kenyans in the comments.
The BBC has analysed the footage and has been able to confirm that it is authentic.
The landscape and the familiar male elephant suggest they were filmed in the Ol Jogi Game Reserve in central Laikipia District.

A staff member at the private wildlife reserve, contacted by the BBC, was shocked by the behaviour and said the videos would be passed on to the relevant authorities.
" This should never have happened. We are an animal welfare facility and we cannot allow this to happen, " said the employee, identified only as Frank. " We don't even allow people to get close to elephants ," he added.
The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is also investigating the incident, agency spokesman Paul Udoto told the BBC.
The man involved in the scandal does not use his name on his social media accounts, which all have a variation of the phrase Skydive Kenya.
In another video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, he is seen feeding two elephants carrots and then saying: " It's time for a beer ."
The Instagram videos attracted hundreds of critical comments, some of which called for the Spaniard to be deported to Kenya, before the posts were removed from social media.
