After a month of fasting and sacrifice, Muslim believers in Albania celebrate Eid al-Fitr today (March 30).
In Tirana, thousands of believers gathered at "Skënderbej Square" for the Eid prayer, organized by the Muslim Community of Albania (MCA). The ceremony began at 06:45 with the reading of the Quran and a lecture, while the traditional reception at the MCA headquarters will take place from 09:00 to 12:00.
The head of the KMSH congratulated the believers, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and assistance to those in need.
"Let Eid al-Fitr be a moment of awareness of human dignity and values. May this holiday be a source of kindness, love and unity for all," he said.
President Bajram Begaj described Eid as "the celebration of joy, peace of the soul and hope in God's mercy."
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama thanked believers for their dedication during the holy month of Ramadan, wishing that "God will accept your prayers and reward you for your sacrifices."
