US Embassy in Tirana

The United States has restored funding, thus restarting the Fulbright program for Albanian students.

The funds were previously suspended as part of the reformatting of American spending, following the coming to power of the Donald Trump administration.

The US Embassy in Tirana has now opened the call for applications for Fulbright programs for the 2026-2027 academic year and the application deadline is June 30, 2025.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is a one- or two-year program for young professionals and recent graduates interested in pursuing graduate studies in the United States. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of an open, competitive, and merit-based process.
