A 21-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian police on charges of drug distribution. He was arrested after being caught by military officers with a dose of cocaine he was carrying to sell to a client.

According to reports from foreign media, the 21-year-old arrived in Terni from Albania on a tourist permit and was staying in a BnB on the outskirts of the city, where he travels to distribute cocaine to clients.

This time, the exchange between the dose and money took place on Via Galileo Ferraris, right in the city center, and did not go unnoticed by the NORM soldiers who are working tirelessly to combat drug trafficking and consumption.

The Carabinieri noticed a small car parked along the road, very close to the train station, driven by a man the police already knew, who was waiting for someone. A few minutes later, the 21-year-old Albanian approached the vehicle, handed him a package and took the money. The military officers stopped the customer, who was carrying the dose of cocaine he had just taken and had been reported to the prefecture of Terni as a user, as well as the new seller who had meanwhile reached Piazza Tacito on foot.

When he sees the police, he tries to get rid of a package that the gunman will find. Inside were eleven more doses of cocaine.

A personal search also found 500 euros in cash in various denominations, the proceeds of drug trafficking.

Another fake Albanian tourist with no criminal record is arrested and spends the night in the detention cells of the police station in Via Radice.

During a brief hearing, Judge Francesca Scribano confirms the arrest and releases him, with a stay ban in the province of Terni.

This is the third fake Albanian tourist arrested by the Carabinieri in just a few days.

This phenomenon is resurfacing in the city, prompting a full investigation into the drug trafficking network, which is run by young people with no criminal records who, instructed by market leaders, pose as tourists to flood the cocaine pool.

Thanks to their clean criminal records, they face only light sentences. The last three arrested by police got away with the same number of residence bans.
