The General Directorate of Taxes has taken measures regarding certain individuals who deceive businesses by presenting themselves as tax employees, although they are not employed in the structures of the Tax Administration.

It is announced that, triggered by the denunciations of some tax-paying businesses, victims of fraud by individuals, who are not employees of the Tax Administration, but who are presented in subjects as such, DPT has taken all measures referring to the case presented in the video, in the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana.

The video shows a person posing as a Tax Inspector. DPT calls for every taxpayer to give their contribution to denounce abusive cases in order to protect their rights.

Some details on how to identify a tax employee have been given earlier.

– Identification badge (First name/Surname/Photo/Job position/Directory name)

- The work order signed by the head of the relevant Directorate

– Distinctive uniforms with the inscription: Tax Administration.
