Elbasan police prevented a serious criminal event. The Blues blocked a vehicle inside which weapons and fuel were found, while it is suspected that they would be used in an assassination attempt.

The authorities have recently published the last details regarding the event where it is known that the perpetrators kept the weapons with which they planned the assassination in the "BMW X6" type vehicle.

In the luxury car, 4 firearms, 3 Kalashnikovs and 1 pistol and 2 canisters of gasoline, which were suspected to be used to commit this crime, were seized.

Police notification:

Thanks to informational intelligence, the Police prevent a serious criminal event.

4 firearms (3 Kalashnikovs and 1 pistol), 2 cans of fuel (gasoline) and a vehicle suspected to be used to commit this crime were seized.

The investigative structures of the Elbasan Local Police Directorate have received information that a serious criminal event could happen in the late hours of last night.

Based on this information, the Police has increased its presence on the ground, set up checkpoints and carried out intensive checks in some objects which are suspected of being used to hide items and tools that could be used to commit criminal activities.

The Police Services received information that as a result of the pressure of the Police in the field, the citizens who would commit the criminal event allegedly hid the vehicle that would be used to commit the crime.

In this context, as a result of numerous controls carried out in the field, in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood, in the area called "Former conservation", a "BMW X6" type vehicle was found, inside which 3 firearms were found Kalashnikov and 2 canisters of fuel (gasoline).

Following the checks, near a trash can, the Police services found and seized a bag, inside which there was a pistol.

At the scene there is a special investigative group and experts from the Scientific Police Institute, who, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Elbasan Judicial District Court, continue the work to make it possible to fix the evidence at the scene, open and control the vehicle.

Several citizens have been accompanied to the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to clarify this case, identify and arrest the perpetrators.

Actions are ongoing and at the end of them, there will be a final information.

The police of Elbasan ask for the understanding of the media in relation to this event, due to the importance and confidentiality of the investigation, in order to fully clarify the event, not to provide unconfirmed information, but to wait for the results of the intensive investigation being carried out by the group special investigator, under the direction of the Prosecution of Elbasan.
