The Maliq-Gramsh axis has been "paralyzed" by the traffic jam created by vehicles returning towards Tirana. 

Vehicles were diverted to this road axis after the ARRSH suggested the place called Arrat e Gurrës as an alternative route due to damage on the Librazhd-Pogradec axis.

It is learned that, due to the queue on the Maliq - Moglica axis, the police have blocked the entry of vehicles at the entrance to Maliq. Traffic is expected to be unblocked in Lozhan after a trailer got stuck there and is only being passed in one lane.

This has caused traffic difficulties as drivers have turned off their cars while waiting for the trailer to be removed. In total, there were three trailers that remained blocked on this road.

The Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH) previously announced the total blockade of the Librazhd-Pogradec axis due to problems in the place called Arrat e Gurrës. The ARRSH announced that the diversion would be made on the Maliq-Lozhan-Moglic-Gramsh-Elbasan road until the situation is fully stabilized.

"On the Librazhd-Pogradec axis, the place called Arrat e Gurrës, after an on-site assessment, the Albanian Road Authority, in coordination with the State Police, for safety reasons announces that: The circulation of all vehicles in this segment will be prohibited. Meanwhile, the ARRSH is taking the necessary measures to immediately build a temporary bypass for the safety of citizens and vehicles.

"We call on drivers to avoid this axis, while car users should use the alternative Maliq-Lozhan-Moglic-Gramsh-Elbasan road until the situation is fully stabilized. We ask for the understanding of all road users. Every measure taken has the sole purpose of guaranteeing life safety and preventing possible incidents ," the ARRSH announcement said.
