A conflict between a waiter and two brothers, Elidon and Florjan Gjeloshi , almost turned into a tragedy in the village of Gomsiqe e Re in Velipojë.
The waiter notified his relatives and then 3 people arrived at the premises of the "Arval" bar in a "BMW X5" with English license plates. Two of the 3 people were armed, one of whom was seen with an automatic rifle and the other with a pistol.
The serious incident was recorded on the afternoon of September 6, 2026, where fortunately there were no victims or injuries. In the video footage, the 3 people are clearly visible, with two of them entering the premises of the bar armed.
Customers standing there begin to panic and then quickly leave, to escape a gunfight. One of the people seen on the bar's security cameras has been identified as citizen Klevin Nikolli.
Meanwhile, the investigative material against them has arrived at the Shkodra prosecutor's office on charges of "Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition" and "Threat with a weapon."
In his statement to the Velipoja police, the owner of the bar, Valter Përndrecaj, explained that at the time of the incident he was staying in the premises of his bar called "Arval" in the center of the village of Gomsiqe e Re, Velipoja.
While he was standing there, he said: "...I saw 3 people get out of a BMW X5 vehicle with English license plates, one of whom I recognize as citizen Klevin Nikolli, who had an AK-47 rifle in his hand, who got out and came towards me. The other person was a person I only know by the name Gentjan, I don't know his last name, and when he got out of the vehicle and entered the bar, he pulled out a pistol from his belt, I don't know what type..." - said the owner of the bar, Valter Pëndrecaj.
The main witness further states that: " ...at this moment I went in front of citizen Klevin Nikolli where I grabbed this person's AK-47 weapon, and as I was pushing him to get him out of the bar, I removed the magazine and loaded the weapon, but I did not notice if there was a bullet in his mouth ...".
According to the owner of the bar, he took the AK-47 from his hand and does not know who he gave it to, as he says he was scared.
"...but at that moment Klevin Nikolli took out another pistol-type weapon from his belt, which he pointed at the people he had spoken to, whom I know by the names Elidon Gjeloshi and Florjan Gjeloshi, and who are customers at my bar..." - the witness said.
Further, as can be seen in the footage, these people were dispersed from the bar and after a few moments, the Velipoja police arrived, starting to carry out investigative actions.
According to the investigations conducted, the incident in question is related to a conflict that had occurred 1 hour before the appearance of the armed men, where the brothers Elidon and Florjan Gjeloshi had a conflict with the waiter of the "Arval" bar in Velipojë./ syri
