Tensions in Patos-Marinëz, residents forcefully enter Bankers Petroleum

The protest, announced two days ago by residents of the Patos-Marinëz oilfield, has begun with tensions.

Protesters have forced open the gate of one of the sectors of the Bankers Petroleum company and entered its premises. Residents have demanded the removal of employees from the area, while the situation has become tense.

The protest is taking place following residents' demands for respect for contracts and payments for land leased to the company.

"It's my property, not yours. We made a contract together, but you're not implementing it, you're not giving me the money," says one of the residents.
