New details have been learned from the serious accident that resulted in the death of 4 people in Radishan-Prishtina-Mirkovce as a result of the collision of a 'BMW' vehicle with a truck with Kosovo license plates.

It is reported that the 76-year-old truck driver lost control of the truck and broke through the guardrail, entering the opposite lane. He then collided head-on with a BMW driven by a 51-year-old man from Skopje.

The collision from the truck, which entered the opposite lane, was quite strong and the vehicle immediately burst into flames. The people inside were unable to get out and lost their lives fatally. According to Macedonian media, the truck driver is suspected of losing consciousness and control of the vehicle due to fatigue.

Three of the victims are in their 20s, while the fourth is 51-year-old Riste Velkov, a baritone and principal soloist of the Macedonian National Opera and Ballet. One of the young men was his son.

The truck driver has been arrested and is at the police station, while the competent institutions are continuing their investigations.
