Veliaj's lawsuit against Ols Dado, next hearing at the Administrative Court

The next court session between special prosecutor Ols Dado and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj will take place today at the Administrative Court.

The last session was postponed to give the parties time to familiarize themselves with the request of the "National Association of Media and Justice" seeking to be included in the trial.

The association requests that the Administration declare invalid the decree by which Ols Dado was appointed prosecutor in 2008. According to its representatives, the issue is of public interest and is related to the integrity of the justice system, one of the main objectives of this association's activity.

The mayor is seeking the annulment of the presidential decree that appointed Dado as prosecutor in 2008 without attending Magistrate's School.

The defendant is also the presidency, the institution that, at the time when it was led by Bamir Topi, decreed the appointment of Ols Dado as prosecutor.
