Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the protest held today in Tirana, saying that some people with certain interests are trying to benefit at the expense of sincere protesters.
Posting a video of a person claiming to be originally from Chameria, speaking at a protest about the 'selling of Albania', Prime Minister Rama wrote that this person had been convicted 3 times in Belgium for drug trafficking.
"We have had enough of these politicians who have destroyed us and who are getting rich off our backs. I am a boy from Elbasan, with origins from Chameria on my father's side and Kosovo on my mother's side. Without Kosovo and without Chameria there is no Albania, Edi Rama, Sali Berisha. Don't let the year take you away, because you have destroyed Albania, you have divided it. My parents are crying ," said the protester (whose video was posted by Rama) during his speech at the protest, among other things.
Rama further, calling the protester a fake patriot with the name of Chameria, writes that he was ordered by others to take the microphone at the protest and speak against the Government.
According to Rama, "these are the faces of darkness, from which this appearance of the older Albania is nourished, which remembers having found the magic potion to become the new Albania."
"This pretend patriot with the name of Chameria and with that grotesque heart on the T-shirt ordered for this unforgettable day of service to those who ordered him to grab the microphone, seeks to overthrow the government of Albania and save the homeland put up for sale by me, after having honored the Albanian name and exalted the national flag with three major deeds, which sincere protesters would never dare to imagine. He has been convicted in Belgium three times as a drug trafficker!
"And then they say don't mess with the protesters! Those who come out and keep coming out on this page have nothing to do with the sincere protesters who don't grab the microphone but simply ask to be seen and respected in their concerns. These are the faces of darkness, from which this show of the older Albania, which thinks it found the magic potion to become the new Albania, is fed," Rama writes in his post alongside the video.
