The Special Prosecutor's Office, the Operational Unit and Spanish agents conducted an anti-drug operation yesterday evening in the capital and several districts of the country, as it is reported that a cocaine laboratory was discovered in the VIP neighborhood in Tirana, on Friday evening. 

At midnight, the operation focused again on "Kodra e Diellit 2", as there are suspicions of other cocaine laboratories in the luxury villas that dominate this neighborhood.

Some houses have been checked and raids are continuing in other houses as well. The criminal group was reported to be constantly changing residences, to avoid being noticed and losing track.

Yesterday's operation also took place in several other areas such as Kavajë, Shkozet, Vorë, Kamëz, Qerek and Tirana at Kodra e Diellit.

Meanwhile, a drug factory was also discovered in the village of Qereke in Fushë Krujë. During this operation, several kg of narcotics such as cocaine and stimulants were seized.

While the number of those arrested so far is reported to be 5 people, one of them from Venezuela. Arrests were made in the village of Vishnje in the Baldushk Administrative Unit, while at the same time the anti-drug campaign continued in the village of Ibë. Today, the police and the prosecutor's office are expected to provide more details about the operation.
