Socialist MP Plarent Ndreca has left SPAK after about four hours of questioning session.

Ndreca is accused of violating equality in tenders related to the procedures for the reconstruction of 4 police stations in the country, at the time when he was Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior.

"I gave statements to SPAK following the investigations initiated by the Prosecutor's Office. It was my request to make statements. I was in the capacity of the person against whom investigations are conducted. I am familiar with the charge. I will give a statement about the accusation at another time", he told reporters.

The Socialist Party MP was charged by the Special Prosecutor's Office on October 25. The report to SPAK was made by the High State Control, which suspects that the officials have allowed inconsistencies and legal deviations in the competition for interference in the Police Stations of Vlora, Mirdita, Pogradec and that no. 4 in Tirana.

"Responding to the broad public interest, we inform you that on 25.10.2024, the defendant, Plarent Ndreca, was notified, through his lawyer, of the completion of the investigations for criminal proceedings no. 240/2021 for the criminal offense "Violation of the equality of participants in public tenders or auctions", provided by articles 258 and 25 of the Criminal Code. More details will follow in a second moment", says the official announcement of SPAK.
