A 23-year-old Albanian, Argjend Canaku, has been sentenced to 22 months in prison in Great Britain after attacking a group of characters with a baseball bat and a knife as he entered a shop in Oxford.
The British media, which have also published footage from the scene, write that the reason why the young Albanian was following the crowd is that there was a person there who attacked the 23-year-old before, and apparently Canaku wanted to 'revenge'.
His lawyer, Samantha Giffin, told the court that Canaku had a difficult and traumatic childhood in his native Albania, after his policeman father was killed.
He had gone to Great Britain and sought asylum. For a period of time he stayed briefly with an elderly man before being taken into shelter by social services.
According to the British media, the 23-year-old has been accompanied several times for drugs and violence, but has not been punished.
