A 25-year-old woman is under investigation after using her minor child to beg.

The 25-year-old MD was found on the street of Elbasan together with the 1-and-a-half-year-old child whom she had taken out to beg.

The child's mother is under investigation for the criminal offense of 'Mistreatment of minors'.

" Following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for the MD citizen, 25 years old, for the criminal offense of "Mistreatment of a minor", provided by article 124/bi of the Criminal Code.

This citizen was found on Elbasan Street, together with her 1-and-a-half-year-old minor child, whom she had taken out to beg.

The Tirana Local Police Directorate invites citizens to call the toll-free number 112 if they find cases of children in street situations and appeals to all parents and guardians of children not to use them for this activity, as they will face with the law ," the police announced.
