"I have been raped by my son's daughter-in-law for 3-4 years. I received a protection order in court, but he beat me again." This is the shocking confession of a 61-year-old woman in Dimal who accuses her son's daughter-in-law of violence.

The woman ended up being severely abused, being treated at the Trauma hospital in Tirana for serious internal organ injuries and is in critical condition.

The alleged event took place on October 6 in Dimal, Berat, where 25-year-old Elena Çinari is accused by her husband's family of brutally assaulting her mother-in-law, 61-year-old Mariana Çinari, with strong objects.

As a result of the violence, the 61-year-old suffered internal bleeding and the doctors removed her spleen, severely damaged her pancreas and other organs, such as stomach, lungs and liver. In a statement for News24, the 61-year-old woman says that she was systematically raped by her son's daughter-in-law and now she needs a lot of money to buy blood to live.

"I am Mariana Cinari, raped by my son's daughter-in-law for 3-4 years, Elena Çinari. I went to court with him, I got a protection order. I went after the second protection order again, but he fought with me again and beat me, cursed me and they told me that we have nothing more to do with you, go to the Prosecutor's Office. Now I am in this critical condition for my life. I want the Berat Police to take the sentence, why can't you find it near me? I got my brother on the phone who took me to Berat and from Berat here to Tirana and still my life is unknown. I need millions of lek to buy blood, but where can I find it? I am from a poor family, I am not rich. The bride is at work, I stay in the hospitals of Tirana. I want my daughter-in-law in prison and for the state and the police to take measures because they don't know how to deal with citizens." the 61-year-old confesses.
