A serious event was recorded in Korça today, where a 31-year-old woman was burned with gasoline by her husband.

Bledar Trëndafili, 45 years old, went to his ex-wife's rented apartment where he doused it with gasoline and set it on fire.

It is known that the couple is on the verge of divorce.

The woman Melisa Trêndafili was injured and is receiving treatment at the city hospital.

Meanwhile, the author is wanted by the police after he fled after the incident.

Korca Police Notice:

Around 16:30, in neighborhood no. 2, Korçë, on the street, citizen BT, 45 years old, tried to burn his wife (in the process of divorce and currently living apart), citizen MT, 31 years old, with gasoline.

The citizen BT, after throwing fuel on the body of the citizen MT and lighting it, quickly left.

As a result, the MT citizen suffered burns on her body and was immediately sent to the hospital for medical assistance.

The Police Services have been in pursuit of the 45-year-old.

The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances and the legal documentation of the case.

In the meantime, the Police services are continuing the checks to catch the perpetrator.
