A 30-year-old man, residing in Mathi, was detained by the carabinieri on September 8 on the suspicion that he was involved in the murder of the Albanian contractor Fatmir Ara, 43 years old.

The 43-year-old was found dead on September 4 in the village of San Carlo, Canavese near Turin.

But apparently the event has taken a new turn, as a 44-year-old woman has also been taken into custody.

According to the Italian media, both are accused of complicity in premeditated murder.

Fatmir Ara was found tied to a tree and, according to the authorities, was first slaughtered with a knife before being executed with at least 3 pistol bullets, although it is suspected that two firearms were used by the perpetrators.

Davide Osella, who admitted to the crime, after a long interrogation after the arrest, gave accurate indications for finding the victim's phone, thrown away at a distance from the place where the crime was committed, the gloves used to commit the murder and the weapon.

Fatmir Ara was known by everyone in the area as "Miri".

In addition to his involvement in drug trafficking, Ara was arrested a few years ago (2018) and sentenced to three years in prison.
