Christian believers today celebrate Easter. Last evening, the Holy Mass of the Easter vigil was held in all Catholic churches of the country.

On this day of celebration for Catholic believers, there were no shortage of congratulations from political leaders in the country. 

Through a post on social networks, Prime Minister Edi Rama congratulated the Catholic faithful and stated that the resurrection of Christ celebrates the infinite love and sacrifice for man.

"GOOD MORNING and on the day of the Resurrection of Christ, which celebrates infinite love and sacrifice for man, I wish you a happy Catholic Easter", writes Rama.

The congratulations from the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who wrote in a post on social networks that this blessed day  "found Albania this time, Catholic believers and their friends of other faiths before a historic election with the date May 14".

He invited everyone  "to pray to God to bless Albania, Albanians wherever they are and their vote for the restoration of pluralism in the country" .

Dear friends, tonight the Albanian Catholic believers and all over the world celebrate Easter, the day of the resurrection of Christ the King.
Easter, the day of the resurrection of God is for every person, for all believers, a day of great faith in God, to his goodness and omnipotence.
Easter is a day of undying hope, of human inspiration from divine and human values ​​and a better future.
This blessed day has this time found Albania, Catholic believers and friends of other faiths before a historic election on May 14.
Duke ju uruar të gjithë besimtarëve katatolik këtë ditë të shenjtë, ju ftoj të dashur miq t’i lutemi ne Zotit që të bekojë Shqipërinë, shqiptarët kudo që janë dhe votën e tyre për rivendosjen e pluralizmit në Shqipëri.

Nuk ka munguar urimi dhe nga ish-kreu i PD-së LulzimBasha, i cili shkruan se kjo ditë e Ringjalljes së Krishtit të jetë dita e ngjalljes së shpresës dhe besimit.

For many years, enjoy this holy day that celebrates the triumph of life over death, of hope over evil, of light over darkness, of justice over injustice!
