Italian Radio Television, RAI has today signed an agreement with RTSH for the transmission of 24 programs, television series, documentaries and films.

In his speech at the press conference held near the Italian Residence, Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Bucci stated that this agreement includes culture, business and language. Bucci said that this agreement is only the first step of cooperation.

"Albanians have learned Italian by watching Italian television. It is an agreement that includes culture, business and language. It will be a very good promotion for the Italian language and very good cooperation between the two companies. This is only the first step of cooperation", said Bucci.

The Director of International Affairs at RAI, Simona Martorelli stated that the history between RAI and RTSH is long and constant and according to her the agreement signed today between the two institutions is very important.

"They welcomed us very kindly. Returning to Albania for us at RAI is like returning home. The history between RTSH and RAI is long and has been a constant relationship. This is also reflected today, not because of the geographical proximity, but because of the common vision. It is very important for us because we will not only tell the history, but also the future", said Martorelli.

Deputy Director General Redi Neziri in his speech described this moment as very important. According to him, the cooperation between RAI and RTSH is one of the most fruitful as it includes important aspects of both institutions.

Neziri informed that they are currently in the negotiation phase with RAI for an intensive training package for RTSH staff and technical and operational assistance for the digitization process and RTSH archives.

"A very important moment. One of the most fruitful collaborations will be concluded with the signing of the agreement that includes important aspects between our two important institutions. This opportunity for us is added value. We all worked together for a long period to successfully realize this project. The participation of Italian companies in the process has been essential for the consolidation of the value of RAI's programs for cultural exchange and mutual benefit between us.

Dua të përmend që ne jemi dhe vazhdojmë të jemi në fazë diskutimesh me partnerin tonë RAI për një paketë intensive trajnimesh për stafin e RTSH dhe në vijimësi pune për një asistencë teknike dhe operative për të na ndihmuar në procesin e dixhitalizimit, arkivat e RTSH  që për ne si institucion është shumë i rëndësishëm. Shpresojmë se ky bashkëpunim do të forcohet në të ardhmen. Falënderoj ambasadorin italian për angazhimin personal në këtë iniciativë. Falënderim për ndihmën dhe suportin tuaj”, tha Neziri.

This agreement, reached thanks to the Embassy of Italy in Tirana and the support of Italian enterprises and institutions in Albania, will make it possible to take the first step towards the further development of the already consolidated relationship with the Albanian public television. This relationship finds its strength in the extraordinary role that RAI has played in Albania.
