Two days after the serious event in Berat, where mother and son lost their lives in an accident, the police give their final version.
After inspecting the scene and surveillance cameras of businesses around the scene, Berat Police has already formalized the causes and dynamics of the accident.
25-year-old Klaudia Xhaferraj and her 6-year-old son, Samuel ended up in the Osum River, after the vehicle driven by the mother lost control.
According to the Traffic Police Sector in the Local Police Directorate of Berat, the cause of the tragic accident was "loss of control of the vehicle by the driver". The news was announced by the Traffic Specialist in DVP Berat and the Judicial Police Officer, engineer Lorenc Tanushi.
Tanushi has claimed that the loss of control of the vehicle has been accompanied by a lack of experience, as the 25-year-old had a few weeks since receiving her license and was a new driver at the wheel.
"From the study of all security cameras, left-right maneuvering has been noticed, a characteristic of young drivers, equipped with driving licenses. The axis of Gorica Bridge-Suspended Bridge is a problematic and risky axis because there is a large flow of vehicles, as the main part of the national road segment Lushnje-Skrapar ", said Tanushi.
He confirmed that in this road axis, since the police is considered as a high risk axis, the Traffic Police has concentrated its police services every day with three shifts and this segment is monitored by them continuously. The traffic specialist in DVP Berat, Lorenc Tanushi has emphasized that in addition to the axis Ura e Goricës-Ura e Varur, other axes that are known as problematic and risky axes and where the most accidents are registered are: Dimal-Berat in the area of Morava and Poshnja area.
According to Tanushi, after the reconstruction of these two roads, drivers have increased the speed of traffic on them. "It is for these problems that have been identified," Tanushi said, "that radar equipment and intelligent devices have been required."
