The cold has arrived this week, bringing rain and snow throughout the country. Anira Gjoni from the Institute of Geosciences brings the weather forecast for "Rudina", stating that the rains will stop from Monday. The following days will see a slight increase in temperatures, but in mountainous areas the thermometer will remain below zero.

From Thursday, the weather will change again and there will be sunshine and consequently, it will be warmer. Meteorology advises that we choose thick clothing this week.

Anira Gjoni: The week has started with low temperatures. It leaves behind a weekend of precipitation both in the form of rain and snow, with increased intensities as in the districts of Vlora and Gjirokastra we had intense precipitation where locally in Vlora they went up to very intense and have brought quite a few problems in terms of rapid and problematic flooding in urban centers. The precipitation on Monday will stop and we expect to have them stop in almost all districts and give way to low temperatures that in the mountainous areas will be below 0 degrees, both the minimum and maximum values ​​of the day and bring problems in terms of frost, mainly on the road axes of the mountainous areas. It will be a week with very low temperatures because throughout Wednesday up to -10 degrees are expected in the mountainous areas in terms of night minimums and the maximums mark up to -2 degrees which means that they do not exceed 0 degrees. We have the presence of frost.

Thursday will be the day that will mark another turning point in terms of temperatures and will bring improvement in weather conditions. During these days, Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be alternations of occasional clear and cloudy weather but they will not generate precipitation or problems in terms of precipitation throughout the territory. On Thursday and Friday, we expect to have clear, sunny weather and we will also have a gradual improvement in temperatures as they begin to increase by 2 or 3 degrees. On the weekend, we expect to have clear and sunny weather. One last piece of advice is that during this week we should be careful due to low temperatures. We should dress warmly. There will be no problems with precipitation as we expect them to stop. Low temperatures and frost in mountainous areas remain problematic.
