Ganimet Vendresha, the first soloist of TOB, passed away at the age of 88

Ganimet Vendresha, the first soloist of the Albanian ballet troupe, has passed away at the age of 88. The news was announced by her family members.

Granddaughter, Ajola Xoxa through a post on Facebook informs that Vendresha passed away yesterday evening.

"My good grandmother, Ganimet Vendresha, passed away last night, quietly and peacefully, as she lived her whole life, surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind to everyone the memory of a beautiful person inside and out, and in us an endless pain.

She gave so much to her Albania and to everyone who was lucky enough to have her in their lives.

The tributes will be performed tomorrow, September 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Opera and Ballet Theater and the burial at 1:00 p.m. at the Tufina cemetery."
