An NBA academy for basketball will soon be opened in Durrës. The news was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama from New York, where the meeting with the Albanians across the ocean is being held.

The Prime Minister found the opportunity to respond to some accusations in the online media about the expensive ticket payments during a basketball game he had attended in New York the day before.

"Thank you to my friends who gave me the great pleasure of being at the opening of the NBA last night because you know that if no one invited you, you can't go because there is no God who can buy those tickets. But since this is the homeland of basketball, I want to give you some news that I could not give in Albania without giving it to you. We are in talks to set up an NBA academy in Durrës" , declared Rama.
