Safet Bajri 's lawyer , Sokol Tahiraj, spoke about his client's investigative file, which he withdrew in January of this year from SPAK premises with a shopping cart.
Tahiraj explained to the media what exactly those files contain. According to him, the files received by the court do not provide any material or results for the investigation of Safet Bajri.
He stated that he will go to court to seek their invalidity.
"There are a number of materials received by the Special Prosecution Office, they are materials from over the years, old proceedings, open proceedings that have been discontinued, decisions to initiate, decisions not to initiate, separation of proceedings, merger of proceedings, but based on their form and content, they do not provide any results for the investigation. Therefore, I will go to court to request their invalidation. There is no evidence related to my client," the lawyer told the media.
Safet Bajri, along with Behar Bajri, Astmer Bilal and Eria Agon, are accused by SPAK of the murder of Fatbardh Lici, the uncle of Ibrahim Lici.
The motive for Lici's murder, according to SPAK, is related to Behar Bajri's suspicion that Ibrahim Lici had killed a member of their group, former police officer Boran Bërçana, on July 15, 2018, who was executed in a car along with his partner Silvi Ndoci, while the 3-year-old child survived.
For the murder of Fatbardh Lici, SPAK has filed charges of "Premeditated Murder", committed in the special form of collaboration, that of a structured criminal group, as well as "structured criminal group" and "commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group" against Safet Bajri, Behar Bajri and Astmer Bilali.
Meanwhile, Eria Ago, Safet Bajri's ex-girlfriend, was accused of driving one of the cars used during this incident.
